Tara’s Poetry Pad
Poetry has been a hobby of mine since I was in third grade. I go through spells of writing a lot and not writing at all, for days, months, or even years. Lately, it’s grown into more of a creative outlet and passion for me. I know that some of the poems you’ll read sound a little corny and stuff. But honestly, they all come from my heart. Please enjoy!
(This first one I wrote while Bess and I were on a weekend getaway in Rhode Island. We had an amazing weekend together and came home happier and closer friends than we had been in a very very long time.)
At the Water’s Edge

Waves that crash
Upon the shore
Every crevice
Laid bare to explore
No more secrets
Locked up tight
Each thought and feeling
Comes to light
Boulders standing
Tall and proud
The rocky coastline
Strong and loud
The strength that comes
Froms love and trust
The bond of friendship
Forever a must
The ocean’s promise
We all are one
Majestic beauty
With the setting sun
The gift of love
Between two friends
The ebb and flow
That never ends
