Dear Bess,
It works!! I’ve been doing “the to do list” activity for a couple of days now too. At first, because I’m so OCD, I thought it’d be hard to do things in order. Like if it’d make more sense to do something first because I’m already there or it’s just take a second, why not? But that’s the funny thing. By doing it in order, it forced me to focus more on what I was doing and I got things done faster.
For example, I wrote down “write birthday cards” on the list. Now, every month I always mean to send cards, but it never happens. Other stuff always just has to be done and I never get around to it. But since it was on my list and I couldn’t do anything else until it was done, I did it! And I felt terrific!
I thought to myself, “dude, now I’m that mom who takes care of 3 kids, her house, her hubby, talks to her friend every day, finds time to blog, and sends out birthday cards!” It was liberating!
Forever Your Friend,
Tara
